Bonus Attic Room Makeover

Bonus Room Makeover

From: hgtv.com
Yvonne Beers transforms this spacious bonus room into a classy multi-functional room that is both inviting and conducive for entertaining.

Before
A little over a year ago, Bonnie and her two children moved to a spacious Cape Cod-style home. Though Bonnie loves the house and the amount of space it offers, there are several rooms that she would like to modify, to make the inside as attractive as the outside.

Before
Since she has teenagers, the first space she'd like to change is the bonus room, since that is a common gathering spot, both for the kids and for Bonnie, who often works from home. Since this is a very visible room in the house, however, Bonnie would also like it to be classy. Which designer will she choose to create a multifunctional room that the whole family will find inviting and entertaining?

After
After careful consideration, Bonnie has decided to go with Yvonne Beers whose design best utilizes the space and captures the essence of what she envisions for the room. Yvonne adds a custom built-in unit to serve as a workspace and a game table for the kids.

After
The room is completed with new lighting and area rugs that provide warmth and color to enhance the new wood flooring. This once undefined central space is now a functional yet casually elegant multipurpose room that the whole family can enjoy.
