Once a partially finished attic with no lighting, now a beautiful and secluded master bedroom!
Nasty carpet from the 60's. Pink built in recessed drawers. Only lighting was a plugged in sconce.
Dark cramped spaces
I built a small fireplace mantle out of leftover scraps of trim. Using a plank of wood, red paint, and a dremmel tool, I etched a fake brick design into the wood to give the fake fireplace a more rustic look. A unique tea light candle holder placed inside gives a romantic fire illusion in the master bedroom without having do major constuction or the need for ventilation.
Painted the built in drawers white, removed old yellow carpet, installed 2 sconces, a lighted ceiling fan, and 3 recessed lights with a dimmer over the bed.
Adding recessed lighting on a dimmer and soft yellow paint for the walls really brought some romance into the room. Adding window treatments and light bedding completed the package.

Job well done, Dalia! I am loving the light bedding. It is romantic, indeed! Nice lighting always makes a difference in a room, don't they? I've seen your other work and they are amazing! We could always make plain and boring into something extraordinary. All it takes is a little creativity and resourcefulness. For those who are not interested at all, they can always call the experts. I'm curious about why you chose to remodel attics in particular. :)
