Attic Master-Bedroom Renovation

Before
Adding more living space is a sure-fire way increase a home's value. These homeowners know that, so they decided to let us completely renovate their unfinished attic -- but we let you decide how we did it. You voted on new walls, flooring, furniture and more. Browse through the slides to see what you picked.
After: Romantic Hide-Away.
This was a top-to-bottom renovation. For the ceiling, you chose bead-board paneling, in the middle of the room, you selected a vintage-style iron bed. And for the floor, a shag-like frieze carpet won the vote.
Safety and Style
We had to build a wall around the staircase and add a new banister. You picked a colonial-style railing to stretch from the new closet wall to the top of the stairs. The beautiful chandelier was another one of your fine choices.
Romantic Hide-Away
Sage and Gothic
We opened up the space as much as possible. Building a cathedral top to the dormers adds height and architectural interest and it works perfectly with earthy sage color you picked for the walls.
