A wood wraped attic apartment

Here are images of an attic apartment done by HighCraft Builders (houzz.com). The slopped ceiling all over the attic, was covered with light colored groove and tong wood planks. The floor was covered with dark colored tile as a contrast. The designers left the brick chimney as an architectural element. This part is the seating area.

In this view from the seating area you can see the sleeping area. Using the same materials and colors all over the apartment unified the room. Notice the exposed airconditioning shaft.

The kitchen was made of the same wood as the ceiling, creating a warm space. Here and all over the apartment stainless steel and metal elements were Incorporated into the design. The contrast between the warmth of the wood and the cold metal adds interest and makes the space more contemporary in feel.

The bed is tucked in a dormer.

What do you say? A great guest/one person or even a couple's apartment. Great design for a cabin too.
